We invite researchers and professionals to submit original research and review articles to the Special Issue “Biofortification and Photoregulation: From Molecular Insights to Safe and Sustainable Crop Solutions” in Phyton – International Journal of Experimental Botany.
This Special Issue explores how light regimes and nutrient biofortification can be leveraged to optimize plant growth and development, enhance stress resilience, and promote the accumulation of nutrients and bioactive compounds, while ensuring food safety through an improved understanding of species-specific nutrient tolerance and underlying mechanisms—from photoreceptor-mediated signaling to nutrient uptake, translocation, and accumulation—toward sustainable and safe crop production systems.
