The EIP-AGRI Support Facility team visited the largest agricultural and forestry holding in Portugal, Companhia das Lezírias (CL), in Samora Correia https://www.cl.pt/en/activity-areas.
The main activities areas of CL were presented and the visit was mostly dedicated to the sustainable forest management with the presentation of the Operational Group project “OakReGeneration, Harnessing and strengthening areas of natural regeneration of cork oak and holm oak” http://www.oakregeneration.pt/en/ in which INIAV is the coordinator.
In the same region the participants visited the farm of José Palha, a productor of cereals and protein crops where a brief presentation on the Operational Group “Precision Agriculture” took place https://terraproagricultura.wixsite.com/regadioprecisao.
The group has also experienced a fruitful visit, traveling around the farm on the trailer of a tractor at this farm located in the Tejo Valley Region.
